Slovakia Bratislava’s highest Christmas tree

Residential
Slovak developer J&T Real Estate (JTRE) has topped out its Eurovea Tower skyscraper project, which forms part of its large-scale Eurovea 2 city-forming development in Bratislava. At 168m it is the tallest building in Slovakia.

A Christmas tree has been installed on the roof instead of the traditional topping-off symbol. It has taken 24 months for the construction work to reach this stage. Only the crown, the façade on the upper five floors, and the residential interiors are still to be finished. The completion of the building is scheduled for next summer

Building a skyscraper is a very dynamic process. While we’re laying the parquet floors on the first residential levels, we’re still pouring concrete many levels up. With our high-rise buildings it’s a learning curve – each time adds to our knowledge.
Ľuboš Kaštan, a project manager at JTRE

Eurovea Tower has been designed by the GFI architectural studio, while Strabag Pozemné staviteľstvo is the general contractor.

Eurovea Tower, which will contain 400 apartments, forms part of Slovakian developer JTRE’s Eurovea 2 riverside development, which includes the 25,000 sqm expansion of the Eurovea shopping centre (which now has 85,000 sqm), the 8-storey Eurovea Riverside with 97 residences, the Pribinova X and Y office buildings (18,000 sqm and 22,000 sqm of leasable space), 1,400 underground parking spaces, and the extension of the Pribinova and Danube promenades. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2023.
