Warsaw loses control of historic monuments
POLAND In November the Provincial Governor of Masovia is to terminate an agreement signed in 2003 with the city of Warsaw, on the basis of which Warsaw’s historic conservation officer is responsible for Warsaw’s historic buildings.
Łódź zoning study available for viewing
POLAND A study into the future zoning of Łódź has been made available for public viewing. The document that lays down the city’s future development until 2050 can be viewed until the 15th September and comments may be submitted until the 9th of October 2017.

ESTONIA Nordecon has signed a contract with the Estonian authorities to build four three lane sections along the Tallinn-Tartu road between Valmaotsa and Kärevere.

POLAND The Olsztyn Zachodni [West] station has reopened after extensive renovations. Thanks to the project by the Polish State Railways [PKP S.A.], the station is now fully-adapted for the disabled.

POLAND Skanska has started work on the first Park & Ride car park in Poznań, at the junction of ul. Szymanowskiego and ul. Smoleńska in the city centre.
Closing Via Baltica
POLAND The tendering process for the construction of the Łomża bypass is now underway. Two sections of the S61 with a combined length of over 20 km are to be built, to allow transit traffic the north and the west to avoid the town centre.

POLAND The Masovian provincial government has issued permits for the construction of two sections of the S17 expressway: between Garwolin and the Gończyce ring road, and between Gończyce to the boundary of Lublin province.

POLAND The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has revealed that the lowest bid for the construction of a section of the Inowrocław bypass connecting national roads 15 and 25 was has been submitted by a consortium of PBDiM Kobylarnia and Mirbud.

Lublin western ring road opens
POLAND The Lublin ring road along the S19 expressway has now been opened. The road, which was built by Budimex, bypasses Lublin from the west. Budimex has built a 9.8 km section under the contract.
