A4 is now complete
POLAND The final stretch of the A4 motorway from Rzeszów to Jarosław, which was constructed by a consortium of Budimex and Strabag, is now complete. The official opening of the Rzeszów East – Jarosław section of the A4 motorway took place on July 20th. The A4 motorway is part of the route stretching from Western Europe to Ukraine.
Forced S6 buy-out by GDDKiA
POLAND Over the next few weeks the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is to purchase properties needed for the construction of the S6 expressway.

POLAND Warsaw is to receive PLN 167 mln in EU funds for the modernisation of a 4.8 km section of the ul. Marsa and ul. Żołnierska traffic route, which goes through the Praga Południe, Wawer and Rembertów districts.

POLAND The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways has signed a contract concerning the construction of a bypass for Góra Kalwaria, south of Warsaw.
Budimex on the Poznań–Wrocław route
POLAND Budimex has been awarded a contract by the Poznań branch of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) for the design and construction of the S5 Poznań–Wrocław route’s Wronczyn–Kościan Południe section.
Poland to have EUR 3.3 bln new roads
POLAND The European Commission has approved ten major transport infrastructure projects worth EUR 3.3 bln which assume the construction of a total of app. 330 km of new express roads in Poland.
Budimex wins PLN 740 mln contract
POLAND Budimex has signed a PLN 742.3 mln net contract on the construction of the Olsztyn ring road.

POLAND The Katowice branch of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has awarded a contract to Strabag Infrastruktura Południe and Strabag for the construction of a 16.7 km section of the A1 motorway between the Zawodzie interchange (excluding the interchange) and the Woźniki interchange (including the interchange).

POLAND The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has signed contracts with Budimex and Strabag for the design and construction of the S17 expressway near Garwolin.
Strabag wins another GDDKiA contract
POLAND Strabag has been commissioned by the General Directorate for National Roads and Highways (GDDKiA) to design and build the S8 expressway between Radziejowice and Przeszkoda (Żyrardów county) in a contact worth EUR 57 mln.

LITHUANIA The A5 Kaunas–Mariampol–Suwałki motorway, which forms part of the Via Baltica route, is to be opened before the end of 2018.
