Only 11 pct of students in Poland can be accommodated in student houses, both public and private. PRS At a Glance: Institutional Rental Market Poland. Student Housing 2024, a report by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland, indicates that investor interest in the PBSA segment will grow in the coming years.

Czech Republic European PBSA sector could grow by 70 pct over the next 5 years
According to the 2024 European Purpose-Built Student Accommodation Investment Barometer, conducted by The Class Foundation and Savills, involving investors and operators with portfolios totalling over 132,000 beds across Europe, with an asset value of circa EUR 25.3 bln, respondents expect to increase the number of beds they have by 70 pct over the next 2-5 years. This would bring the total to over 220,000 beds, deploying a further EUR 22 bln of capital.

Poland Capital Park Group launches landmark development in Katowice
The 30-ha revitalised site formerly occupied by the Silesia Metallurgical Plant will become home to a modern mixed-use district Nowy Wełnowiec with predominantly residential functions. Nearly a third of the area will be dedicated to open green spaces. The Capital Park Group is responsible for the implementation and management of the project.

Poland Off Miasto is being built in Gdańsk
Invest Komfort has announced the development of a new project in Gdańsk. Off Miasto is to be built on a plot of ca. 56,000 sqm, and the usable area of the flats will be almost 55,000 sqm. Construction of the first stage has already begun. The entire investment will take several years to complete.
