Rent suspension in Sukcesja

Coronavirus
POLAND Rent payments have been suspended for all tenants in the Sukcesja shopping centre in Łódź.

According to Krzysztof Apostolidis, the CEO of Fabryka Biznesu, the owner of Sukcesja, the rent exemption covers the period from March 14th until the centre can resume its full operations. “The company’s management was unanimous on this issue: we need to help tenants survive during this extremely difficult time for all of us, and support them in maintaining their companies and workforce. We are well aware of the fact that with the limitations imposed on the centre’s operations and the need to close many of its stores, that tenants have lost their sources of income overnight. But we all run our businesses under the same roof and we are partners regardless of the economic situation, for better or for worse,” he has declared.

At the same time, the company has guaranteed to forego any contractual claims and penalties due to suspension of activity or the reduction of working time during this period.

All stores have been closed in Sukcesja since the state of pandemic was declared, apart from the Stokrotka supermarket, the Rossmann drugstore, the Cefarm pharmacy, the Dobre Wino store, the Exchange Group bureau de change, Mbank and Millennium Bank and the Inmedio and Kolporter newsagents.
