AFI Braşov now to open in the autumn

ROMANIA AFI Europe Romania has announced that it is rescheduling the opening of its AFI Braşov shopping and entertainment centre due to the pandemic.

The 45,000 sqm gla mall, an investment of EUR 170 mln, was due to open in this quarter of the year, but the opening has now been moved back to the autumn, if the situation permits.

Along with shops AFI Braşov will include a gym, a restaurant zone, a cinema, play areas and a green terrace.

Panattoni has begun construction of a new distribution centre in Łódź for Media Expert. Media Expert is Poland’s largest retailer of consumer electronics and household appliances, operating over 600 brick-and-mortar stores. The 208,000 sqm project being developed in an investment of PLN 500 mln, will be one of the largest warehouse centres in the country.

The investment market in Poland for Q1-Q3 2025 reflects stable market conditions, with year-to-date volume aligning closely with the Q1-Q3 of 2024. By the end of September, the Polish investment market reached a total volume of EUR 2.6 bln with 105 transactions, showing increased liquidity. Polish capital continues to grow in importance, taking advantage of attractive pricing opportunities. In contrast, core capital remains cautious, with only two transactions of more than EUR 100 mln.
